We need volunteers throughout the year for…
Teacher Helper
Morning Pre-School, Family Drop-In, or Baby Rhyme Time*
Monday–Friday: 9:00 am–12:00 pm and 12:45 pm–3:15 pm
-Assist leader with setup and cleanup
– Help with crafts and ensure supplies are available to families
– Connect mothers with one another
– Make coffee and tea for the morning
– Bring in nut-free baked goods to share
After-School Program Helper
Weekdays: 3:00 pm–6:00 pm
– Assist with sports and snacks
Oak Park Cleanup Crew
Ongoing—monthly, weekly, or daily. Any weekday between 12:00 pm–5:00 pm or various seasonal times
– Lend a hand in cleaning up Oak Park spaces
– Clean out the fridge weekly, organize toys, clean shelves, sanitize, mop, sweep, and dust
– Organize and clean cupboards (food bank, seniors, after-school program, etc.)
– Organize shelves
Food Bank Volunteer
Wednesdays: 7:30 am–11:00 am
– Unload delivery truck
– Set up tables and organize food
– Assist with food distribution and connect with members
– Pack up
Special Events Volunteers
2nd Saturday in September: Oak Park Fall Fair
Opportunities range from running the event and leading specific areas to taking shifts at tables or baking.
Opportunities to Share Skills
This could include running a workshop, providing an activity in an existing program, baking, volunteering your unique skills, or running a program. We’re open to your ideas!
Communications
– Upload website content, events, update sponsors, and program information
– Create flyers for events and programs
Social Media
Help manage and engage with our online community.
