Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre was incorporated as a Corporation Without Share Capital under the Corporations Act (Ontario) on August 23, 2002. The organization was named Oak Park Moms and Tots at the time of incorporation. Subsequently it filed Articles of amendment to change the name to  Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre as of August 6, 2010.

OPNC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who rely on By-Law #1 (the constitution) to manage the affairs of the Corporation.

Every year, the finances of the Corporation are audited to ensure that funds are collected and spent within the scope of the Corporation’s Policies, board approved budgets as well as all applicable governing laws.

Canada Revenue Agency – Chartiable Returns

The Executive Director is an employee of the Corporation and the day to day operation of the organization, supervision of staff and financial administration are her responsibility. She is hired by and reports to the Board of Directors.  Annually the Executive Director submits a report to the Board and the Members of the Corporation.
